This tubular version of the Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL is the lightest-ever member of Mavic’s Ksyrium family, at just 1190 grams per pair, saving power and making you faster overall. Mavic used their finite element simulation software to maintain strength and reliability while shaving the weight of the rims down to an incredible 320 grams each. The 24 rear spokes feature IsoPulse lacing, which creates better spoke tension balance, making the wheel more stiff, stable, and durable. TgMAX rim technology delivers exceptional braking performance with a special resin and carbon layup formula that resists heat buildup so you can maintain control and confidence in your equipment throughout those never-ending descents you work so hard to earn. And, these fly-weight wheels let you control the road with front- and rear-specific GripLink and PowerLink tires, designed for superb control and exceptional durability, all in a sensitive and supple 220-tpi tubular.
Maximum Glass Transition Temperature:
TgMAX technology consists in laying up several types of high technology resins, then fixing them using a proprietary heat treatment process to achieve the highest possible resistance to braking heat.
Grip and control:
A front tire, whether a clincher or a tubular, must fully liberate the wheel’s ability to hold the ground and control the bike. Therefore, GripLink tires are optimized for front use, by offering a superior grip and extra puncture protection.
Low rolling resistance:
A rear tyre, whether a clincher or a tubular, must fully liberate the wheel’s ability to transfer power and generate speed. Therefore, PowerLink tyres are optimized for rear wheel use, by minimizing the rolling resistance.
Instant Drive 360
Instant energy transmission:
The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and fast to engage with only 9°. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
Optimum energy transfer:
The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and crossed 2 on the non drive side to maximise drive side dish, thus providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.
Qualité de Roulements Mavic:
Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.
