We engineered Áspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front. MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS - We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame. TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT - Trail (front-wheel response to rider input) is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures. BALANCED HANDLING - Stiffness and handling work together to ensure the bike tracks predictably and responds immediately to critical pedal and bracing inputs.

These shapes are tubes we've used on other models that we know to have various qualities-aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.-and they help get us to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, we wanted durability, lightweight, and aerodynamics to be in balance and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike. Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem, and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike's refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. Because we all know if it looks fast, it probably is. Rather than designing multiple versions of the bike with various fit profiles (R5, R-Series, etc.) like we've done in the past, we designed a system that enables a broad range of fits on a single bike while maintaining the aesthetic and functional cleanliness we demand. BMX or not, Chad is about that Bike Life! Riding around towns, throwing wheelies, listening to music and laughing with your friends, that is ALL CK! So it seemed to make sense to ask Chad to come up with a bike that he would be hyped to wheelie at ride-outs. The BMF is all of that, jewelry inspired graphics, paint that pops, and fitted with BMX level components so it could hold up in the air as well. The BMX is Chad Kerley, the BMF is Bike Life.

In 1979 artist Damian Fulton began drawing what is now the most iconic cartoon in BMX; Radical Rick. Along with characters like MX Mug, Spike Speedwrench and the infamous Skuzzer Switchblade, Radical Rick grew into one of BMX's most historical figures through the pages of BMX Plus! magazine. Over the course of the last year, we collaborated with Fulton to bring his art to life through these Radical Rick-themed 24", 26" and 29" models. If you're thinking that this might be the perfect combination of design, history, and bike life, we'd most definitely agree.
