Fit can be tricky

So many bikes. Sizes in inches? Sizes in centimeters? S, M, L, XL? How do you make sense of it all? There are some basic standards that apply across many styles of bikes. We've put these into the handy charts, below, to give you a better idea of where to begin, based on your height.

Finding the proper bike size hinges on three things. First, of course, is your height; simple enough - most of us know how tall we are. Second is your body proportion - inseam, torso length, arm length, etc.; a little more complex, but it's still just numbers. Finally, though, is your comfort. A racer or hardcore enthusiast will feel comfortable on a different bike than a casual rider of the same height and proportions. This is where we come in.

We can offer guidance to get you on the right size bike that you can enjoy now, and grow with later. Come by the shop and test ride a few models. We'll listen and then make suggestions to point you to the perfect ride. Cyclists with serious performance goals can further benefit from our Body Geometry Fit service to fine tune a new bike's dimensions to maximize the rider's power and stamina.
